My results are just what I would have expected, I got Obama. On Economy, Iraq and immigration I had check marks for Obama. I completely agreed with Obama saying that fighting a war without end will not force the Iraqis to take responsibility for their own future and fighting in a war without end will not make the American people safer. One of the things that I agreed with McCain was that if we could get the issue of inflation under control and get it reduced so that health care costs are reasonable in America, then those people will be able to afford health care. There is just a problem with what Obama and McCain are saying is that who knows if they are really going to keep to their word and do what they have said they will do once they become the president. The quiz was very good because if you haven’t seen any of the presidential debates then you wouldn’t know what either Obama or McCain have said so there wouldn’t be any way what your results would be, it would be a surprise!
It kind of made sense that there was an odd number of questions, but I didn’t like it. Despite the quiz’s answer, I am probably pretty evenly split as to the candidates’ views. On a few of the questions I picked whichever one the mouse was closer to because I was on the hedge, disagreed with both, or agreed with both to some extent; any quiz on political issues should have a choice for taking the middle road because no two people’s opinions are exactly alike.
Part of cause of my apathy and being on the hedge are my dad and sister. My sister is a devout Democrat, while my dad is a Republican. They tease each other about it constantly, but occasionally, my dad will start a debate about the ethics of one of the many issues on which their opinions differ, most notably the war in Iraq. Their conversations really make you appreciate the reason you’re never supposed to discuss politics, among other things, in polite company at the dinner table.
My results were like Susan’s, Obama, except I did not have any idea what my results would be. Although my results came back to be mostly Obama, I have to say that I agree with McCain on the subject of war in Iraq. I do believe that we should get our troops out of Iraq, but if we bring them back too soon while they are unstable then we will have not a victory but a “defeat that is terrible and long lasting.” On the subject of immigration, I agree with Obama. I do not believe that our economy would benefit from the deportation of the 12 million illegal immigrants that are living in the United States. Yet, regarding the topic of gay marriage, I have to say that I agree with McCain. I am not for or against gay marriage but do believe that they deserve the right to “enter into contracts, exchange powers of attorney, other ways that people [who] are in relationships can enter into.” Quite honestly, I have not kept up with the presidential elections. This quiz reminded me of the fact that the majority of us [juniors] will be of voting age in a year. This made me realize that I need to, many of us need to, take these elections more seriously and follow them because before we know it we will be part of the voting process and this is no American Idol where your vote does not really make a difference. This responsibility to our country should not be taken lightly.
Hi guys! This is jovi! Well after taking that presidential candidates quiz, I have reinsured myself of my points of views, because I mostly agreed with Senator Obama. It does not surprise me that I tested that way because, I really do think that it is time for a change, and although I can’t really say I believe either of these two men, I think we have a better chance with senator Obama. As far as I’m concerned, Senator John McCain has been in the senate for more than two decades, and rather than him being viewed as someone who can be a solution to our country’s problems, he should be viewed as part of the problem. One final issue that I would like to address is one that I find completely shocking. As I read some of the blogs that my peers have posted, here on wordpress, and on edublogs as well, I have to say that I am truly shocked in the lack of importance that politics plays in many of your lives. Although all of us are unable to vote now, the things that happen in politics affect us all in a great way, and will become a part of our history. No one can force you guys to take an interest in politics, but one thing I can say, is that those of you who like to complain about how our government is corrupt, and unjust, sound very hypocritical right about now. You guys all better vote when we turn 18! :]]]]
When I finished the quiz, it showed that I would most likely vote for Obama. I was not surprised in this because in most of the Presidential debates that I have seen, I have sided with Obama a lot more than McCain. I especially agree with his position on illegal immigrants. I think that it would be a waste to send them all back to where they came from, but instead let them at least be put in line to gain legal citizenship. I think that the way the quiz is set up is fair due to the odd number of questions and the topics discussed in the quiz. What I liked most about this quiz was that I did not know who said the quotes, but in the end I chose more from Obama rather than McCain. I guess if I were able to vote in this election, I would vote for Obama because I think he delivers the right message and he seems to have great potential to maybe lead our country.
Okay i took the test. I took it once on monday and my result was Obama. I went back to make sure my opinions from obama were the same and today I got Mc Cain. So i guess if i were to elect for a president I still would not know who to elect. I have been watching every Presidential Debate which is weird because I am not into political stuff. So i have been hearing Obama’s and Mc Cain’s points of view. They both state some good stuff. Like when Obama was talking about rising taxes and Mc Cain said he didnt like the idea that instead we should all have a spending limit. Well i didnt like my results i still dont know who i would elect. I just hope that the next president will help the economy be better and i hope that all of the illegal immagrants don’t go back to their country. They should just stay here because they are the ones that have been helping our economy. They are the ones that work more and they get paid less than everyone.
Well for the test I got 7 checks for Obama and 5 for McCain. I think I got this because I agree with most of the things Obama has to say. I think this because I believe Obama would be the best leader for the free world I dont agree with what McCain has to say. McCain seems like a person who can not be trusted and may be fake. I agree with some of his issues but for the economy i think Obama is the best. I also agree with the quote about the economy because I think it would be the best thing.
Ahhhhh … So this is the third and final freakin’ time I shall attempt to write this blog. MY computer is totally on something, and every time I am finished or nearly finished, it freezes and deletes all that I have written. Anyway, I will just have to rewrite everything AGAIN, as closely as it was before. I don’t have to sleep, I have all the time in the world. GRRRR!!! Stupid, stupid computer! Ok here it goes.
Before I even took this test I knew what the results would be, Obama. Perhaps the results became what they are since most of my family is Democratic, but I highly doubt that considering that I ALWAYS research the facts before making a decision. Especially since the majority of my family are mentally challenged. In my defense, I have actually kept up with this year’s politics. In fact, I listen to some guy, named Bill Handle, rant about the economy as well as the current arguments of both parties. Not that this guy is very likeable, I mean, come on, he’s a lawyer, but so far he knows what he’s talking about. To return on topic, I would also like to state that I agreed entirely with McCain in regards to his arguments on the economy. Now, all of the others I agreed with Obama but it isn’t my fault I believe that a government should focus on the good of the economy instead of the good of the rich. Not to say that Republicans only care about the good of the rich but I mean, seriously, you don’t exactly see POOR people benefiting from a Republican president. Now you may disagree, but isn’t the saying, “Why fix what isn’t broken.” Well the statement does not apply when something actually is broken. I don’t know if most of you know this but our country is FAILING! Failing qualifies as broken, so why would we add fuel to the flame by putting another Republican president in office? That’s like repeatedly hitting your head with a heavy object. Ok, you tried it the first time to test it out, then the second time you did it out of stupidity, but I mean are you really gonna do it a third time? Obviously a Republican president is not working out so well.
In addition, just as a side note, I would like to just state that I do not think either president will live to serve the entire four year term. McCain is like a billion years old and has already suffered from a heart attack, it’s not like he’s as healthy as an Ox these days. And I personally do not want to be left with Palin ruling our country as a result. She went on a vacation to Crazyville, became the mayor, and hasn’t returned. Plus, not only is she clinically psychotic, she is also very inexperienced. I would feel much safer with BIdin, an experience, non psychotic, and efficient leader instead.
You might be wondering why I said both of the candidates won’t last the entire term. Considering that Obama is at the peak of his time and health. Well, the answer is simple, the society we live in is still extremely racist. Obama will be the first black president, and he will be assassinated for it. Now, I sincerely hope that this does not happen. I actually want to be proven wrong and for any government officials who are reading this and thinking that I am making a threat on America’s future president, you are wrong. I just think that America is not ready for a black president, and if the government does not already know that, there’s a problem.
I didn’t mean to be so blunt, but I am extremely tired and irritated with this blog site. Hopefully, all does not end the way I predict. However, I suspect that it will, otherwise I would not have wrote such things. But on a brighter note… GLOBAL WARMING will kill us all anyways.=) I hope I have not put a damper on anyone’s spirits, not that my writing, or rant for that matter is that engaging, but hey, one can try.
